I’ve been craving mac ‘n’ cheese (yes, that evil blue box). It’s the best comfort food I know. The color scheme has also got me thinking of goldfish swimming. Sunshine. Bicycle rides. Summer.
These colors are for laying in fields & braiding flower crowns in vintage dresses. Wistful, a little dusty & worn but beautiful nonetheless.
Saccharine sweet & childish dreaming. Cotton candy, blue skies, green grass, yellow sun & vanilla ice cream. Children’s stories with happy endings. Perfect nursery rhyme color scheme.
You know that whole French Country chic thing that is pretty perfect for kitchens? Let’s modernize it! Brighter, bolder, better. Kitchens are meant to be yellow. Particularly when they have black & white checkered linoleum. Add in cobalt fiestaware and a KitchenAid stand mixer in Ice and bingo, bango: Provence Nouveau.

Speaking softly with cadet blue & slate paired with a nice chocolate and then BAM, mustard stick! I think this would be a fantastic color palette for a heavily patterned wallpaper or book cover. More organic shapes with soft, curved edge than geometric crispness.
Visions of 1950’s kitchens with turquoise & pink appliances drifted through my brain this week. Added in brighter shades of the turquoise & added a splash of red to modernize the whole kitchy thing. I am in total lust vintage refrigerators. A girl can dream, I suppose.
