Friday5: Week 2
Friday5: Week 2.
Obviously, Monday & Tuesday were I’m-at-home-being-a-crazy-cat-lady sort of days. Yea, that’s how I roll. Meet Gibson. Doesn’t she look pleased on Tuesday? Menace is a bit more camera shy.
TiLT, part 7

Things I Love Thursday
• Safety yellow (in general but rainboots in particular)
• 3 day work weeks (hell yes)
• My first craft fair this coming weekend! (Indie Arts Market!) If you’re in Chicago, you should come check it out.
• Thursday’s for Crafty Ladies, the inaugural session tonight!
• Humble Fiber! My other more knitting focused project.
Doodles

Slightly older doodles do to my computer being in the shop & being unable to scan this week’s. Which means: bonus doodles once my computer returns from mac repair.
I really enjoy drawing when we have guests at our apartment. Oftentimes, video games are involved which makes for some very distracted & therefore totally willing models. Above we have Dennis (glasses) and Graham as well as some random girl from the train. Also: what my living room would look like if I had my way (though honestly, it’s not that far off from this aside from the bench/shelf thing in the window).

Tonal Tuesday: Sanctuary Sanctuary
Oh green, I think you’re my favorite even though I try not to play favorites! Think soft & cozy, warm domestic bliss. Think your own secret world. I think that these colors resonant with comfort for me is due to my childhood love of wandering in the woods by my parents house. I wasn’t really supposed to but I would pull on some boots and go off tromping through the woods. I would build little nests and move rocks, swing on branches, you know those things that children do. It was always so quiet and the light soft. I’m glad I’ve brought this palette to our living room. Cozy, calm & clean.

New series that I’m working on. 4×6 postcard-size illustration & typographic exploration.
Happy Friday, all! Enjoy you’re hopefully elongated weekends.
Friday5: Week 1
Friday5: Week 1. Apparently it was a mostly green week. & a chopping week. I decided to do a modified 365, I guess? Only with my mac photobooth & 5 times a week, updated once a week. This is the first round but I’m guessing I’ll get more creative with it as I go along. It does look like I’m starting to run away as of Thursday though, ha!
TiLT, part 6
Things I Love Thursday
It’s been such a long week already with very little sleep but I’m still finding time to love a lot of things.
• Bicycles with awesome color combinations.
• Chopping off my hair
• Going shopping at JoAnn’s for neat fabric, spray adhesive & acrylic paint (do I smell project coming on?!)
• PAL’s show at SubT on Wednesday night, chock full of new songs. I can’t wait for them to get in the recording studio & get that shit down!
• The upcoming long, long weekend (I took Tuesday off too!)
• Living Breathing Typography
• Kittens with emoticon faces!
What’s TiLTing your world this week?
